INTRODUCTION

Wykeham House School in Fareham is a day school for girls aged 2¾ to 16.

Its aim is to encourage the girls' potential, both in and out of the classroom.

Teaching methods combine traditional academic rigour with the best of modern technology. GCSE results are excellent each year, reflecting the hard work of both pupils and staff.

Girls are also encouraged to take part in an ever-increasing range of extra-curricular activities - pupils have the opportunity to get involved in short tennis, Latin Club, dance, horse riding, maths work shop, Duke of Edinburgh Award, netball and music, to name but a few of the regular activities.

Foreign travel also plays an important in our education with girls visiting France and Austria in the past year.

The School has two modern Information Technology Suites, as well as a further Suite of Laptops in the Library.

Each Faculty within the Senior School has at least one teaching room equipped with the latest 'Smart Board' technology for Interactive Teaching, as well as access to a full range of subject specific software.

Girls also involve themselves in charitable work through the school's house system. After school care and nursery classes are available.
